Group 08 Collage 6/11

We had chosen a total of 6 activities according to the 5 types of human play, to ensure there is a balance for the games in the Playeum.

For physical play, we have Pillow fort
For game with rules, we have Twister
For symbolic play, we have painting
For social-dramatic play, we have play-pretend
For playing with objects, we have Lego and Touch Piano

The main attraction will be the cushioned blocks, some will be fixed on the floor and some will be movable to allow children to interact with it through stacking and climbing. Children need to help themselves to climb up to the second floor. Using the pillow fort concept, along with Lego.

Next, we have the touch piano installed on the floor throughout Playeum, and then extend into the dark room. Instead of having piano keys, we will switch it to just coloured hand and foot prints. When in contact, the print will lit up and made a sound. In the dark room, there will have prints on the wall too, and cushioned blocks + cushioned lego bricks scattered on the ground, allowing children to build something, and the head over to press on the prints to see the shadow of the structure they just built. It is the same concept as the current dark room, just that we changed their installation. Using the touch piano and twister concept.

Then, maker space will be providing materials needed for the children to create prop to role-play with. Incorporating painting and crafting with role-play.
